Carlson Real Estate Company’s Kristin Myhre Receives
NAIOP Developing Leaders Award

September 29, 2008—Minnetonka, MN—Kristin Myhre has been named as one of only 17 recipients nationwide of the 2008 Developing Leaders Award, presented by the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). The Developing Leaders Award is bestowed upon up-and-coming professionals who have distinguished themselves in their profession and show great promise as future leaders of the commercial real estate industry.

Ms. Myhre is a Senior Manager of Real Estate Investments and works at Carlson Real Estate’s headquarters office in Minnetonka. She joined Carlson in 2002 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Myhre is a proven leader in NAIOP’s Minnesota chapter, having held various positions such as Developing Leaders Committee Chair, panelist at the 2008 Developing Leaders Summit, member of the National Young Professionals II Forum, and member of the University Challenge committee.

In addition to her work with NAIOP, Myhre is affiliated with Building Owners and Managers Association, Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors and Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women. She has participated in a number of community events through several organizations including the Hope for the City, which uses corporate surplus as a tool for fighting poverty, and HockeyDocs/21forKids, which raises funds for needy causes in Minnesota.

NAIOP President Thomas J. Bisacquino spoke of the importance of the Developing Leaders Award, stating, “The Developing Leaders program advances NAIOP’s agenda and enhances our diversity by acknowledging and encouraging the involvement of these accomplished young professionals who will lead our organization and the commercial real estate industry into the future.”

Recipients of NAIOP's Developing Leaders Award will be celebrated October 20-23 in Las Vegas at development '08: the annual meeting for commercial real estate.
