New Hires Complete Carlson Real Estate Company’s
Charlotte Team
July 19, 2007— Carlson Real Estate Company has filled out the staff in its recently-opened Charlotte,
North Carolina Office. Added to the team led by Vice President Chris Kirby were Patrick Tillman,
Senior Property Manager, Michelle Kirby, Real Estate Services Coordinator, and Rodney Harris,
Property Engineer.

Mr. Tillman has 21 years of experience in the Charlotte commercial real estate community, most
recently with Beacon Partners. Tillman is a graduate of Montreat College in Charlotte and will
oversee all property management functions for Carlson’s 1.3 million square foot, 21-building portfolio.

Ms. Kirby came to Carlson Real Estate Company from the Charlotte office of CB Richard Ellis where,
as Real Estate Services Coordinator, she serviced the Carlson Real Estate account. She is a
graduate of Old Dominion University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Administration and Marketing, both of which will serve her well at Carlson as she will contribute in a
broad range of areas including property management and marketing.

Mr. Harris has been the Property Engineer at the CLT Logistics Center, now a part of Carlson’s
Charlotte portfolio, since it was originally developed in the 1990s. In addition to his technical
expertise, Harris will be relied upon to be the “face of Carlson Real Estate” to the tenants on a daily
basis. Throughout his career he has exhibited a steadfast emphasis on customer service, resulting in
high tenant satisfaction. Mr. Harris also most recently worked with CB Richard Ellis servicing the
Carlson account.

Mr. Kirby is thrilled with the team he has assembled. “I’m very excited to complete this step of our
transition into the market,“ he stated. “We had hoped to assemble a staff by the end of this year, so
I’m pleased that we are ahead of schedule. This team is outstanding in terms of its collective
experience, knowledge, and overall dedication not just to the industry, but to doing things the right
way every day, in every interaction whether its internally here in the office, or externally with our
tenants, vendors, or whomever they come into contact with. It’s an exceptionally professional team
